Comprenhensive Coverage | Armstrong Insurance

Comprehensive car insurance is an extension of collision coverage that provides insurance in the event that your vehicle is damaged by something other than a collision. In short, a comprehensive policy is just that, coverage that will protect you regardless of the cause of an accident

A policy that includes comprehensive car insurance will protect you if your vehicle is damaged by weather events, natural disasters, theft, vandalism or fire. The maximum benefit that may be awarded by a comprehensive car insurance policy is total damages less your deductible.

For vehicles that have current finance or lease agreements, comprehensive insurance may be required by the finance company. This requirement is a safeguard for both you and your finance company, as the finance company will not want any uncovered damages to occur to their vehicle, which is the collateral for your loan or lease. Also, if your vehicle is newer and recently paid off, you may wish to keep the coverage. The only drivers for whom comprehensive insurance is not recommended are those who drive older models that have low actual cash values.

Comprehensive car insurance will cover all damages to the vehicle, up to the limits stated in your policy.
